Matcha lemonade

A sweet tango of lemon tartness and bold umami.

Lemon simple syrup:
Ingredients
- zest of one lemon
- 1 c sugar
- 1 c water
Instructions
- Combine sugar, lemon zest and water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium high heat.
- Reduce the heat to medium low and let simmer for 10 minutes.
- Turn off the heat, cover and steep for 10 minutes.
- Strain out the zest and transfer the syrup to a clean container.
- Let cool and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
Matcha lemonade:
Ingredients
- ½ c water
- 3 tbsp lemon juice
- 3 tbsp lemon simple syrup
- a few ice cubes
- 1 matcha shot with Premium Blend at Matcha Maker strength level 3
- lemon slices
Instructions
- Mix together water, lemon juice and simply syrup in a glass.
- Scoop a few pieces of ice to the glass.
- Pour over the matcha shot.
- Garnish with lemon slices.
