Matcha lemonade

For this recipe, you’ll need a Cuzen Matcha Maker.


A sweet tango of lemon tartness and bold umami.

Lemon simple syrup:
Ingredients

  • zest of one lemon
  • 1 c sugar
  • 1 c water

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, lemon zest and water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium high heat.
  2. Reduce the heat to medium low and let simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Turn off the heat, cover and steep for 10 minutes.
  4. Strain out the zest and transfer the syrup to a clean container.
  5. Let cool and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.

Matcha lemonade:
Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Mix together water, lemon juice and simply syrup in a glass.
  2. Scoop a few pieces of ice to the glass.
  3. Pour over the matcha shot.
  4. Garnish with lemon slices.
