Earl Grey simple syrup
Ingredients
- 8 fl oz water
- 3 Earl Grey tea bags
- 1 c sugar
Directions
- Boil water and teabags for 10 minutes.
- Stir in sugar until it has dissolved.
- Allow the syrup to cool while the tea bags continue to steep.
- Remove the tea bags. You will have about 1 cup of syrup.
Earl Grey matcha latte
Ingredients
- a few pieces of ice
- 3-4 tbsp Earl Grey simple syrup
- 6 fl oz milk of choice
- 1 matcha shot with Signature Blend at Matcha Maker strength level 2 or 3
Directions
- Drop the ice in a cup and add the syrup.
- Pour the milk over the syrup.
- Add a matcha shot and stir.
- Taste for sweetness and adjust.
Tips
- If you’re using loose leaf tea, use about 4 ½ teaspoons of tea leaves.
- Use 2 tea bags if you like your drinks extra sweet and use 4 tea bags if you like your drinks lightly-sweetened.
- You can store the syrup in a glass jar or bottle in the refrigerator for up to two weeks or in a plastic container in the freezer for up to six months.
