Cherry matcha latte

 For this recipe, you’ll need a Cuzen Matcha Maker.

The bold bitters of freshly-ground matcha mingle with juicy cherries.

Cherry vanilla syrup:
Ingredients

  • 1 c cherries, pitted
  • ½ c granulated sugar
  • ½ c water
  • 1 drop vanilla bean paste or ¼ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Combine cherries, sugar and water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Reduce the heat to medium low and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring continuously.
  3. For a more textured syrup, mash the mixture. For a smoother syrup, blend the mixture and return to the saucepan.
  4. Simmer for another 15 minutes or until it reaches the desired consistency.
  5. Turn off the heat and stir in vanilla bean paste or extract.
  6. Transfer to a separate container and let it cool to room temperature.
  7. Refrigerate and use within 1-2 weeks. Makes up to 8 servings.

  1. Pour the syrup into a glass.
  2. Add a few pieces of ice and pour in milk of choice.
  3. Add the matcha shot.
