The Cold Brew Tea Starter Kit is a convenient and transportable brewing set for a cold, refreshing genmaicha cold brew. It includes a 100-gram packet of Cuzen’s original Organic Matcha Genmaicha Loose Leaf blend our uniquely designed filter-in bottle.


Cold brew green tea is naturally smooth and sweet with only muted bitter notes. It’s made by slowly steeping tea leaves in cold water. Genmaicha is a blend of whole green tea leaves with “genmai” or “roasted rice.” This unique combination deepens the rich umami profile of green tea with the toasty aroma of roasted rice. At Cuzen, we’ve elevated the popular pairing with our Single Origin Kirishima Okumidori matcha powder. This Cuzen-original has an even deeper umami flavor and a beautiful vibrant green color.

How to make cold brew genmaicha

  • Step 1

    Scoop 2 tablespoons (10g) of matcha genmaicha into the bottle.

  • Step 2

    Pour water up to the “750mL” water line. We recommend using ice cold water.

  • Step 3

    Close the lid and let it sit for 2–3 hours. Shake gently before drinking.

  • Enjoy

    Store the brewed tea in the refrigerator and drink within one day.

    Cold-brewing green tea is effortless.  Simply add tea leaves to cold water and let it steep for a few hours.

  • Naturally sweet & full of umami

    L-theanine, the compound responsible for a tea’s sweetness, is easily infused into cold water. Catechin, the compound known for bitterness, dissolves much more slowly at low temperatures. This means cold brewing results in a smoother, mellow taste.

  • Low caffeine

    Cold-brewed tea is less caffeinated than hot tea because caffeine is more easily extracted in hot water. Using ice cold water further reduces the caffeine levels, making it a gentle green tea option.
